Microdermabrasion

For lunch? I’ll have a cup of soup, a sandwich and a Peel.

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, non-invasive process that offers safe and controlled skin abrasion. There are 2 treatment options for this process, the MegaPeel fine crystal abrasion and the more recent introduction of the MultiDerm textured wand exfoliation system.

The Mega Peel procedure utilizes high-grade micro crystals, which are propelled at a high speed across the skin's surface to abrade tissue. This technique, referred to as "The Lunch-time Peel" by Vogue and Elle, is performed on an outpatient basis, is very quick, relatively painless and results are seen immediately. There is no downtime.

The MultiDerm system also performs exfoliation, but with a textured wand instead of crystals. The flip side of the wand is then used to infuse anti-aging agents or moisturizer into the skin. The combination gives the face a more youthful appearance and glow.

Both methods stimulate blood flow to the skin surface which increases the oxygenation, causing enhancement of cell renewal. In addition to stimulating collagen, the massaging action of the treatment creates a flushing and cleansing effect below the surface, resulting in a vibrant healthy appearance and complexion.

The most ideal candidates for microdermabrasion are people who are very active and don't want to take the longer recovery time for laser resurfacing or chemical peels, and for those who are sensitive to chemicals, have mild acne scarring or are suffering from melasma (blotches of skin pigmentation).

Microdermabrasion is safe for all skin types and can improve all the following conditions:

Fine lines • Wrinkles • Hyperpigmentation (brown spots) • Aging skin • Sun-damaged skin • Acne (clogged pores and scars) • Blemishes • Oily skin. We also recommend microdermabrasion to facilitate photo-rejuvenation and effectiveness of anti-aging topical products.
