Our Palomar StarLux system uses specialized handpieces that filter light from different parts of the spectrum, allowing the ideal wave length to reach the skin for treatment of age spots, facial spider veins, or sun damage.

In addition to facial skin, the IPL treatments are suitable for neck, arms, hands, chest, back, and legs. IPL spreads the light over a wider area than a laser treatment, allowing faster coverage of the skin and quicker treatments. Each pulse will create a beam of light, causing a flash, an audible tone, and a mild sensation on the skin. The process is safe, comfortable, and effective. You will be able to return to work or other activities the next day. A mild sunburn-like sensation may be present, possibly accompanied by minor swelling, Ice packs can be used and symptoms are usually gone in 24 hours.
