Maria H.Ressler, MPA, PA-C

Maria is a physician assistant at Fox Chapel Dermatology, joining the practice in September 2006. She is a local resident, having attended Fox Chapel High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating magna cum laude. She was inducted in the Pitt chapter of Phi Beta Kappa Society. Maria was also a member of Phi Sigma Pi national Honors Fraternity.

After graduating from Pitt, Maria attended Chatham College and received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2006. During her academic career at Chatham, Maria was honored by the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants by taking second place in the organization’s Diversity in Medicine Writing Contest. Her paper was focused on Huntington’s Disease, genetic testing and disability.

Maria is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatologic Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistant Society.

Maria is responsible for many services at Fox Chapel Dermatology including diagnosing and managing skin diseases, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and writing prescriptions. She also performs many procedures in the office including biopsies, surgeries and sclerotherapy. She is legally and ethically bound to practice dermatology under the supervision of Dr. Caserio.

Maria enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, daughters Cecilia and Nicola, and their dog Scooby cheering on the Pitt Panthers.


Lauren Rutkoski, PA-C

Lauren Rutkoski, PA-C

Lauren joined Fox Chapel Dermatology in April 2007. After graduating as valedictorian from West Allegheny High School, she received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Grove City College. During her college years Lauren competed as a member of the track team and served on the inner city outreach missions’ team to Guatemala. She has also volunteered on other local and foreign missions projects, including a second trip to Guatemala and one to the Dominican Republic while serving as a senior high youth leader.

After graduating from Grove City, Lauren attended Arcadia University and earned her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies. As a member of the Arcadia’s Student PA Society, she served as the student delegate to the House of Representatives with the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She also received a scholarship for clinical study abroad in the United Kingdom.

Lauren is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatologic Physician Assistants, and the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistant Society.

Lauren resides in Forest Hills with her husband John and son Jonah. They enjoy spending time outdoors, running, hiking and working on their new home.


Christopher J. Foti, PA-C

Christopher J. Foti, PA-C

Chris is the most recent addition to RJC Fox Chapel Dermatology, joining the staff February 2011. Christopher was born and raised in New Jersey but is very proud to call Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania his home since 1991. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Jefferson College in 1995 followed by his Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in 1999.

Following his graduation, Chris acquired extensive medical and cosmetic experience during his 11 years of employment in a private dermatology practice. He has served as interviewer for Chatham University’s Physician Assistant Program and participated in training PA students, medical students and family practice residents.

Chris is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Chris is responsible for many services including diagnosing and managing skin diseases, patient education, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and writing prescriptions. He also performs many procedures in the office including biopsies, surgeries and Botox injections. He is legally and ethically bound to practice dermatology under the supervision of Dr. Caserio.

Chris and his wife Sarah reside in Green Tree Borough where he enjoys music, baseball, American history, playing guitar, and most of all, being a dad to Lauren and Matthew.
